
Job Description
A multi-national IT ERP Software Vendor is looking to add a Sales Manager to their Middle East Team. My client is not as large as some better known MNC Software Vendors, but has 3,000 employees in many offices around the globe.
This role will have one direct report, with several more on a project specific basis and be based from Dubai. Significant travel, as it will be covering the Middle East, including the following markets: UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia (KSA), Kuwait, Libya. Sectors of focus will be Aviation/Defense; Construction and Infrastructure Projects; Utilities; and Telco/Telecommunications
My client has a streamlined organizational structure and delivers many projects directly rather than through outsourced consultancies or systems integrators. There are some new partners in the region offering the person who joins this position significant potential to grow an already existing, but not extensive pipeline.
Skills
Required is a candidate with experience of selling ERP solutions who can work independently and produce results. Ideally an aggressive new business hunter would be desired, but people who have moved into sales from technical backgrounds will be considered, as this kind of knowledge will be useful in front of end-user customers. However, technical experience should not be at the expense of sales experience and candidates must have a number of years selling ERP software behind them.
Base and variable are split 60:40. Commission is not calculated against other allowances, but the package is very competitive for the market, and can be negotiated, within reason, for exceptional candidates.
